If you could only subscribe to one testing blog, what would it be? How would you describe the typical content of the blog?

Guidelines:

  1. By all means, please feel free to suggest your own blog.
  2. Please provide more detail than "I think it's really good" so that people seeing your recommendation will get a sense for whether it might be a good fit for their interests - (Agile-centric? Great for new testers? Context-driven? Eclectic and brilliant? Incendiary? Funny? Focused on Exploratory Testing and the exploits and antics of his favorite rugby team?)
  3. If you have 3 equally favorite blogs, please post 3 different answers so people can vote on each independently.

If you have a list of your favorite bloggers, please answer this other question.

Thanks.

I like Michael Bolton's site, DevelopSense. If I read only one it would be his @

http://developsense.com/

Michael posts often, writes well, and often comes at things with a fresh perspective. He usually doesn't get too technical which I like.

Upvote, and another one recommending Michael's blog. Agree with Chang onthe often, well and Fresh. Plus, many times the Fresh doesn't mean the view is new and revolutionary -- there are old views as well (and these can be revolutionary too :) ) – Shmuel Gershon Oct 17 at 19:06

My favorite blog to read is Linda Wilkinson (http://www.practicalqa.com) for well-written semi-controversial posts. She so often eloquently phrases things I've been trying to say for years.

I recommend Vijay's blog. To my mind, this blog should be useful for beginners in software testing.

Information about various areas of testing, certification, automation tools and other stuff.

Why only one? ("What's your favourite Beatle album?" "What book would you bring to a desert island?")

+1 agreed. There is a related question that asks for a list: testing.stackexchange.com/questions/67/… – Alan Oct 16 at 22:07

definitely testingReflections http://testingreflections.com/

It contains original postings from some great testers, and also aggregates other testing related blog posts. If you could only visit one place, this would give you a ton of info on all things Testing/QA

An extremely helpful site, no doubt. Thanks. I see from your answer that my question wasn't specific enough, so I have modified it; in this question, I'm trying to get people's input on their single favorite individual blogger. – AnishK Oct 9 at 18:09

This is a tough one - testing is a broad, broad profession, and the "best" will depend on the individual.

I recommend Abakas (http://blog.abakas.com/) to many testers due to the (mostly) daily frequency and the quality of posts.
